QA engineer responsibilities include designing and conducting tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly, meets the business needs and quality standards.

Analyze requirements, specifications, and business use cases in order to create test cases and test scenarios.
Liaise actively with System Analysts for any required clarification.
Create detailed, well-structured test cases and checklists.
Execute test cases to ensure feature enhancements are high quality.
Identify, file and track defects to closure.
Conduct functional, regression, sanity & non-functional testing (having experience with API & security testing is a plus).
Work closely with various teams to ensure timely delivery for both testing and requirement analysis.
Communicate on testing progress and quality status of the product.

Experience in developing and executing test cases.
Experience performing functional, integration, smoke, regression, usability and compatibility testing as well as assisting with user acceptance tests.
Comprehensive knowledge of software testing techniques and methodologies.
Can identify ambiguous requirements and promote suggestions to implement the features or any logical issues.
Strong Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills.
Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both oral and written.
A self-initiated and proactive team player who can work with minimal supervision.
